Meet Soda Fish, Lakes Entrance’s freshest seafood haven.

Not all fish and chip shops were created equal. Some remind you of summer holidays as a kid, others are so fancy that all traces of their humble roots have been scratched out. But then there are others that strike the perfect balance. Restaurants that carry a subtle blend of familiarity, freshness and the fanciful… Soda Fish is one such venue.

Anchored in the harbour of Lakes Entrance in a refurbished Ferry, Soda Fish boasts a world-class bar and grill for dining in-house, as well as a fish and chippery set up for takeaway. Oysters are freshly shucked to order and there’ll be a bottle of crisp white to compliment every meal.

The new digs are the brain child of chef and seafood extraordinaire Nick Mahlook. He’s been keeping CBD suits full on fish and freshly shucked oysters for years at The Atlantic, but is returning to his hometown to share the fruits of his labour. The idea is to elevate the humble fish and chip into something truly delightful, for all to enjoy.

Being home to some of the finest seafood Australia has to offer, Lakes Entrance is the ideal spot to showcase the quality of local catches. Favourites like John Dory, whiting and flathead will all appear on the menu, alongside bright salads and of course thick-cut chippies.

Opening this summer, Soda Fish is set to be the destination for seafood lovers and locals alike. Whether you’re looking for a tasty trip down memory lane after a beach day, or are putting on your fancy shoes for a night out, Soda Fish has got you covered.
