Held at Sovereign Hill’s Outdoor Museum in partnership with the Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation and with the support of City of Ballarat, the Corroboree by Full Moon connects the community to the oldest continuous Culture in the world.

For 60,000 years people who call this place home share a unique heritage. In Ballarat, we live on Wadawurrung country, and under the full moon Traditional Owners, performers, dancers and storytellers will share the history and living culture, with other First Nations people from the broader local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

Corroborees were performed on the Goldfields in the 1860s. They were a feature of entertainment for miners on the Ballarat Goldfields. Be part of the performance with an invitation to dip your hand in wet ochre and add your handprint to the stage backdrop before settling in for an evening of dance, song, language and storytelling shared by a multi-generational ensemble of Traditional Owners.

Some seating will be available, bring a rug and try delicious snacks with a bush twist from the Sovereign HiIl Café. Hot and cold drinks will also be available.
