Over 25 years, landscape designer Sam Cox and partner Lisa Hatfield have transformed a paddock in Wattle Glen into a remarkable 1.5-acre Australian bush garden. Inspired by naturalistic design, the landscape uses earth shaping, basalt rockwork and layered native planting to create a garden that feels effortlessly connected to its setting. Winding paths, casuarina forest, olive grove and native grassland reveal changing light and texture. Sam’s handcrafted mudbrick house blurs the boundaries between home and garden, while a basalt-lined pond provide habitat for wildlife. Garden talks and Q&A sessions with Sam will be held at 11am and 2pm, both days.
