Nestled into the hillside, this tranquil Dandenong Ranges garden is located five minutes drive from the picturesque village of Olinda, Mount Dandenong’s highest village. 

Gaythorpe Garden is the relaxed and romantic private garden of landscape designer Simon Gaythorpe. Simon has spent nearly 30 years transforming a former paddock into a spectacular one-hectare haven.

The garden features dozens of rare and unusual flowering shrubs and trees. Meandering paths topped with sawdust are soft underfoot, leading the visitor along the contours of the sloping site, always keeping the next corner of the garden a mystery.

Opening in late spring, many flowers will be in bloom.
