The National Hotel Natimuk (or The Nati Pub as it is known) sits squarely at the centre of the local community, which consists of a varied mix of local graziers and crop farmers, local sporting teams, day-trip visitors from Horsham, long-haul travellers detouring from the Adelaide to Melbourne route and most uniquely of all, the steady flow of rock climbers who travel from around the world to climb the Arapiles ranges (Dyuritte).
Originally constructed in 1857, The Nati Pub offers a warm, authentic Australian pub experience. After a major fire in 1859, it was rebuilt and maintained by a series of owners before Bill and Anne Lovell took the reins in 2010. With a commitment to both consistency and community, Bill and Anne have transformed the hotel into a hub for this eclectic mix of visitors who come for nourishment and conversation.
Visitors to the pub will find a classic pub menu with favourites like the chicken parma, roast of the day and endless bowls of chips heading out to the dining room. The Arapiles Steak, popular with protein craving climbers and hard-working farmers, is a locally sourced scotch fillet topped with bacon, seeded honey mushroom and melted cheese.
On Wednesdays, The Nati Pub holds a lively raffle supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital, adding a unique charm as donations are thrown and pinned to the ceiling—a quirky, memorable detail in a truly welcoming local landmark.
