The Thorpdale Potato Festival is one of Victoria’s most iconic regional festivals. Located in the fertile soils of the Strzelecki Ranges, visitors flock to the idyllic West-Gippsland hamlet of Thorpdale biennially to celebrate the area’s rich farming history and its main export – the humble spud. 

Whether you are wanting to try your hand at the many spud-related events – potato picking, stacking, throwing and eating, or be entertained by woodchopping, kids attractions and over 100 food and market stalls, there is something for everyone.
