- WildHoney presents ELEVATE – a magical weekend of community workshops in stiltwalking, large-scale puppetry, storytelling and dance.
ELEVATE explores myth-telling activities through the creation of Giant puppets who roam the Otways in search of hidden treasure. The project is deeply rooted in landscape. It peers into the cracks and fissures beneath moss and stone. It re-awakens nature spirits and guardians of the land.
WONDERMENT PROGRAM
Saturday:
10am – 12pm Creative Storytelling and Characters
1pm – 5pm Puppet and Mask Making
Sunday:
10am – 12pm Creative Dance and Puppetry
1pm – 4pm Introduction to Stiltwalking
4pm – 5pm Rehearsals and Pop-up Performance
Workshops suitable for people aged 10 . Sign up with a friend or family member. Adults can join too.
Participants from each workshop will be invited to perform alongside WildHoney in “Walking with Giants” finale performance for the Colac Otway Arts Trail at Colac Botanical Gardens, April 09, 2022.
