WALA – IS LIFE: West African Drum and Dance Ensemble from Ghana, bringing to Castlemaine Fringe Festival an explosive show! 12 powerful drums rarely seen in Australia giving a unique sound and insight into the Ga-Adangbe culture. Supported by local Castlemaine group MAMBA NEGRA. 

3-Set show not to be missed of drums played with hands, feet, sticks, souring vocal harmonies, flutes, spectacular dancing. Traditional polyrhythmic music repertoire of folk Palm Wine and Ghana Highlife songs with WALA´s original arrangements.
