Open Gardens Victoria kicks off autumn with the first-time opening of Casely, the beautiful private garden of Peter Sheppard, retired businessman and founder of luxury shoe store Peter Sheppard Footwear.

Set on 18 acres in Beaconsfield Upper, Casely is a diverse garden, comprising three distinct ‘rooms’ with views across the region. Peter purchased the property nearly 20 years ago, when he saw the enormous potential to create an interesting garden, inspired by his extensive travels.

Rooms include a 2000 sqm succulent garden, a Japanese garden with a pagoda and waterfall and an English-style garden with an impressive conservatory.
