Nakari is a stunning four-acre garden in Narre Warren East, designed by award-winning landscape designer Phillip Johnson. Set on a hilltop with 360-degree views, it showcases Australian native flora in a sustainable, climate-resilient landscape. Once sloping paddocks, the site now features a flowing creek, billabong, waterfall, and restored dam, surrounded by dolomite boulders and teeming with wildlife. Over 6,500 trees have been planted to create habitat and windbreaks, while reclaimed materials add rustic charm. Owners Rex and Elaine envisioned Nakari as a multigenerational sanctuary, where nature thrives and Phillip Johnson’s philosophy of living, adaptive ecosystems is brought beautifully to life.
