The Werribee River Association are excited to present the inaugural River FEST on Sunday September 24th 2023.

Commemorating World River’s Day, the FREE festival celebrates the Werribee River, our iconic platypus and the communities that call it home.

Taking place on the lands of the Wadawurrung, the festival will open with a welcome to country and smoking ceremony. The stage program includes live music from Nhatty Man, The Orbweavers and Glee Choir, and dance performances from local cultural groups interpreting their relationship to waterways. In the festival village, join the platypus procession, workshops and kids activities and visit the educational stalls.
